The South Australian Country Fire Service is a volunteer based emergency service. We are dedicated to protecting the community and environment from various emergencies. These emergencies include bushfires, motor vehicle and structure fires, and road accidents. Of course there are many more emergencies that the CFS respond to.
The CFS is made up of approximately 15,000 volunteers with over 450 Stations around South Australia. These volunteers assist other Emergency Services including SAPOL, SA Ambulance, and the Metropolitan Fire Service.
