We currently have 3 Fire Appliances in Operation at Norton Summit / Ashton CFS.
Our main brigade appliance is our 34 Pumper. It carries approximately 3000 Litres of water and has a larger capacity pump designed for incidents where a larger volume of water is required, such as Structural Fires.
It has 4WD capabilities allowing us to effectively deal with situations in both Urban and Rural areas.
The vehicle is equipped with 4 Breathing Aparatus sets along with the tools in which we use to deal with the various emergencies. For a detailed list of the stowage, please visit SACFS Promotions

Water Capacity: 3000 Litres
We also have a smaller, general purpose appliance. It carries approximately 450 Litres of water and has a small diesel pump that supplies water to a single hose. This vehicle is generally used as a support for our main appliance as well as a quick response vehicle for smaller incidents like fallen trees.

Our third brigade appliance is a Bulk Water Carrier (previously called a "Tanker"). This vehicle is used all around the local region as well as throughout the rest of the State. It carries approximately 13,000 Litres of water. This allows several appliance to be filled with water without having to leave an incident. It was built in 199x by local community members and is still in service today.
